Autumn is an exemplary student: hard working; enthusiastic;disciplined; open-minded; highly collaborative in nature; not afraid to take risks; possessing a genuine curiosity about all things theatre; and, very well respected by her peers. This respect was evident in the most recent production she directed, Stephen Karam’s “The Humans.” She chose this challenging play, cast it from the student population, designed, rehearsed and managed the entire project. The result was one of the finest productions I have seen in forty years at The Boston Conservatory. The use of space was inventive, creating an authentic world for the action. The acting was superb: difficult overlapping fast paced dialogue was delivered with professional aplomb; the character work was believable and well coached; and the final effect was a very moving theatrical experience.
